uzu's Petals Restaurant, Kirkwood Missouri Grand Opening Ceremony

In a place much like the little town of Bedford Falls, I appeared at the grand opening of a new restaurant in Kirkwood Missouri. Kirkwood is a suburb of St. Louis. David Slay One of America's Top 12 Chefs

The restaurant is called ZuZu's Petals. David Slay, named One of America's top 12 Chefs by the Fine dining Awards has joined Phillip and Michele Schell and Matt and Carolyn Burgoff as partners in this unique and charming venture.

I had a wonderful time sampling several of the selections on the menu that were created by David Slay. His signature dishes blend California and contemporary cuisine. My favorite was the fried spinach it was crunchy and so tasty.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday and there is a Sunday Brunch that is truly a lavish adventure in food. They also offer a child's menu.

For winter days the outdoor patio area features a glowing fire pit and for warmer days, a flowing fountain. There are even private party rooms. Now all I have to do is convince them to put mulled wine on the menu!!!

The people in the St. Louis area are just wonderful and true fans of the film. Michele Schell is even going to plant hydrangea bushes in the front of the building. The idea of ZuZu's Petals came from the heart of Phillip Schell. He is a true fan of the film and he has discovered the magic it portrays.
